Back in 1998 when I first started doing webdesign a database driven website was very clunky and frankly not warranted for use by the majority of individuals and businesses who were rushing in droves to get onto the web. A basic website was far easier to construct. Today times have changed and so has the game. Chiefly the speed at which things can be accomplished and enhanced communication channels most notably SKYPE. I can now easily discuss and design with a client in real time while we both look at the same thing.

The one thing which hasn’t changed though is getting content, and I now hope you can see the reason for my offer. It’s far more beneficial to my clients to get the basic content for your website up and in place, then adjust the design to taste and the impression which you wish to communicate. I can write content for you, but you know your business and it is far more cost effective for my clients to do this. In addition you need to be able to update your website wether you are a rock star, a business consultant or someone who simply wishes to do a professional job on their hobby.

The old adage ‘Every picture is worth a 1000 words’ has proven true on many an occasion. But today it’s video which grabs the world’s attention. Many sites now earn with the ability to talk to their audiences. I had to laugh the other day but at the same time it was a serious situation for the business involved. I read about a customer who had made a split second decision to move to another web company without consulting the original company who had set his on line business up!

The new company of course promised the earth however things didn’t work out well they sacked them, only to find that the registered administer of the website was the original web company. Only on the say so of the original company could the site have changes made.  You can imagine the panic at the prospect of fees in exchange for co-operation.
